Following World War 2, Australia underwent a period of economic expansion and the immigration of large numbers of people, mostly from Europe. Post World War 2 there were many Soldiers and Manufacturing Industries facing mass unemployment and how the governments of the times pivoted to reform welfare and infrastructure. This involved the abolishment of the Poors law in 1948. The Key Elements of the Welfare State were National Insurance (which provided Unemployment Benefits, Health Care and Retirement Benefits), National Health Service (NHS), Housing, Education and Welfare Services.
We explored the bestowing of basic privledges upon the First Nations People after World War 2 and the place of the BLM Movement during Covid Lockdown.
