This week we focused on the role of family and social institutions and their impact on marginalistion and being disadvantaged. We looked at how a broken homes, housing, incarceration and education can compound these issues. We explored opinions on religious extremism, religious practice and secular teachings in the education system. We delved into the effect big business can have on rural economies if they choose to uproot and how they have negated social responsibilities. How if government funding is cut to various programmes it can affect rural communities and youth education.
In Academic Foundations we explored how to navigate various online e-learning platforms that can assist our studies.
